Danish Foreign Minister Per Stig Moeller arrived in Malta yesterday evening for an official visit which includes meetings with President Eddie Fenech Adami, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and Foreign Minister Michael Frendo today.

A joint press conference by the two foreign ministers will be given this afternoon.

Dr Moeller is a former leader of the Danish Conservative Party. He was appointed Foreign Minister when the centre-right bloc headed by Anders Fogh Rasmussen won the country's general election in November 2001.
