The Bay Street Drama Fest organised by Youth Alive in conjunction with Sapport agency has raised a total of Lm1,200, for the needs of Maria Grazia, a two-year-old girl who suffers from a mental disability.

The girl needs to travel to the UK for a number of medical tests in respect of her condition.

The Drama Fest, which brought together established actors, television personalities, theatrical companies, schools, performers and animators, was held at the Bay Street Rotunda.

This year's Drama Fest, now in its eighth consecutive year, saw over 25 acts spread over a two-day period. The event included live performances by Screen Productions, Curtain Raiser, Loi Noir Productions, Act React, 'The Play House', Youth Alive Drama Ministry, Try Productions and many others.

Throughout the two-day event the organisers also hosted a series of drama workshops and drama modelling, face painting and games for children.

Other production companies pooling in their efforts in the event included Hermann Bonaci Productions, Bronk Productions, the actors at Ghada Jisbah ukoll, as well as Elio Lombardi, Lino Grech, Charles Thake, Lino Cassar, Ray Calleja and others.

Donations to support Maria Grazia Attard's cause can still be made at HSBC account number 008-056103-051.
