The language laboratory complex at the University consists of the main language laboratory, a sound library, and a fast copying room. The sound library supplies self-instruction language courses in Maltese, English, French, German, Spanish and Arabic and caters for students who want to listen to recorded material from the sound library stock.
This covers diverse areas such as Accounts, Archaeology, Art, Biology, Communication, Economics, Education, Folklore, Law, Music, Philosophy, Science and Theology.
All students and staff are entitled to use the complex's facilities free of charge in connection with work relevant to a course run by the University.
Other institutions or individuals are also welcome to use the facilities available, however a fee is then charged. A new computerised language learning system including video facilities has recently been installed in the main language laboratory.
