Daniel Cardona, the 23-year-old policeman who was seriously injured in a traffic accident on Saturday, has regained consciousness and is no longer in danger of losing his life, the police said.

Mr Cardona had been driving his Rover in Is-Sebh Street, Qormi when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a low wall.
