Attack condemned

The Local Councils Association and the Labour Party's local councillors section yesterday deplored the acts of violence and vandalism committed against the Marsa mayor.

A man slashed one of the tyres of mayor Frans Debono's car.

The association said a person had attacked the mayor and vandalised his car. It expressed solidarity with him and urged the police to take action according to law.
