A Mondial tour to scenic Austria and Germany, a Lm50 Malta International Airport voucher and a year's membership in the Scrabble Club await the lucky winner of the new word game series starting today.
The four-day trip, which takes place between October 30 and November 2, is jam-packed with excursions and sight-seeing tours.
A coach and a tour leader will be available at all times while accommodation will be in a first-class, four-star hotel in Linz, Upper Austria.
Memorable sites are Mondsee, where one can see the parish church in which the wedding scene of the film The Sound of Music was filmed, St Wolfgang, a quaint little village by the lake of the same name, Hohensalzburg, a fortress town which rises over the towers and belfries of the town (reached by cable-car), ruled by prince-archbishops, and through which flows the river Salzach, shopping on Mariahilferstrasse in Vienna, and a panoramic city tour of Vienna, including the Belvedere Castle, the UNO City, Parliament, the Vienna Opera House, Hundertwasserhouse and the imposing St Stephen cathedral in the city centre.
Optional excursions include a visit to Salzkammergut, where The Sound of Music was filmed, picturesque Salzburg, which is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's birthplace, historic Vienna and the Prater Luna Park where one can view the symbol of the city, the Giant Ferris Wheel, Passau, better known as the Bavarian Venice, situated on the banks of the Danube, Inn and Ilz rivers, best seen by going on a cruise round the city.
The winner of the last word game, which ended last Saturday, is being drawn on Tuesday. The prize is a two-day Mondial tour to Paris and Euro-Disneyland, a Lm50 Malta International Airport shopping voucher and a year's membership in the Scrabble Club.
