For the 11th consecutive year, the Olivia Dow School of Russian Ballet has presented Maltese theatregoers with a ballet to remember.

Barbie of Swan Lake, performed at the Mediterranean Conference Centre on July 31, proved to be a literal feast for the eyes of a packed audience.

As the proud parents of two students of the school we would like to take the opportunity to thank all concerned for making this evening one big success. Ivelina Dimitrova (new assistant to Ms Dow) has done a great job with her choreography for those who danced the main roles, including Maltese and foreign guest dancers.

Many parents as well as friends of the school continuously gave their moral and physical support for the well-being of the students through the long arduous hours of rehearsals off and on stage in preparation for this unforgettable event.

Olivia Dow and her husband John Baldacchino invested wholeheartedly in the sound formation of the young ballerinas. Their unfailing ability to recognise talent in their students at an early age is undeniable. Their expertise was reflected in the elegance of style by which their students executed their teamwork and point technique. When it comes to stage production, they know no compromise. Only the best is expected and accepted!

Well done one and all at Olivia Dow School of Russian Ballet. Once again you have made Malta proud!
