The Labour Party yesterday commemorated the 90th anniversary of the exile of Manwel Dimech to Egypt during a flower-laying ceremony at Castille, in Valletta. The MLP's deputy leader for party affairs, Michael Falzon, said Dimech was a visionary whose beliefs in social justice, national identity, equal rights for men and women and in the dignity of the Maltese language were still valid today.
