The first ever T.G.I. Friday's Bartender Challenge is being held today at T.G.I. Friday's in Sliema.

Starting from the late afternoon, three of the restaurant's bartenders will compete against each other and the winner will represent T.G.I. Friday's, Malta in the Regional Bartender Challenge to be hosted by T.G.I. Friday's in Malta, next November.

Bartenders will be assessed on bar-flaring, pouring of wine, beer and spirits, fruit and mixes sensitivity, wine bottle opening, drinks recipes and suggestive selling, food knowledge and speed of service.

Two judges will be scrutinising their performance.
