It is ever so heartening that more and more youngsters with special needs are participating in sports activities and even taking part in international events overseas through Special Olympics, Malta (August 21).

However, it seems that not enough coverage and publicity is being given even when these athletes manage to cut a good figure in competitions abroad. A case in point is the footballers' recent participation in the Hungary and Turkey football tournaments.

Moreover, it was expected that and it would have been more appropriate were the photo heading of the said article an actual picture of the Special Olympics football team and not a months-old group photo at the National Stadium, where the majority of the players were those from the local nurseries.
