Pierre Brincat, the coach of the Maltese women's team, has named an 19-strong squad for the European Championship qualifier against Bosnia & Herzegovina at the National Stadium today week.
Malta's participation in the qualifying round for the UEFA Women's Championship is their first in international competition.
The home qualifier against Bosnia & Herzegovina is Malta's last chance to open their account as they have lost their previous seven matches.
In their last match, Malta suffered a 5-0 defeat away to Ireland, the leaders of the group who have amassed 18 points from eight qualifiers.
Ireland have a four-point lead over Romania but the latter can still grab top spot in Group Five if they take maximum points from their last two matches against Bosnia and Croatia.
