World Breastfeeding Week

The Association of Breastfeeding Counsellors (ABC) is pleased that the activities held to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week this year have been welcomed and appreciated by both the public and the agencies that seek to promote the breastfeeding culture in Malta.

The various stakeholders who participated in the discussions have all pushed for a change in the structural framework to include multisectoral ownership of the breastfeeding question.

A meeting will be held shortly between the ABC, the Health Promotion Unit and the Maternity Management, Karin Grech Hospital, to formally evaluate the process and outcome of the celebrations.
