The editor of MaltaToday, Saviour Balzan, yesterday filed three libel suits against Lou Bondì over articles published in the The Malta Independent on Sunday.

Balzan claimed that the articles entitled The Beheading Of John and Liar published on July 4 and the article I Did Not Kick John Dalli When He Was Down published on August 22 were libellous and defamatory.

In the articles, Balzan said, Bondì accused him of being a liar, of manipulating public opinion and of having a "third rate brain".

Dr Tony Abela and Dr Richard Galea Debono signed the suit.
