The Euroguidance Network provides Ploteus, the Portal on Learning Opportunities Throughout the European Space. The purpose of Ploteus is to put into effect the right to freedom of movement for European citizens by providing the necessary information.
Ploteus aims to facilitate navigation among existing information resources on learning opportunities.
It is mainly oriented towards different target profiles: Students, (lifelong) learners, teachers, workers, employers, education and career guidance advisors. The portal is a European reference, addressing itself to the citizens searching for information from other countries and regions. It offers a qualitative alternative to popular search engines.
It gives the opportunity to vocational guidance experts and guidance counsellors to have access to quality information about issues related to education and vocational training programmes, employment and vocational guidance, and European programmes initiatives.
Other network activities include the interconnection and information exchange among European countries on related subjects concerning education and vocational training systems; the promotion of the European dimension in vocational guidance and the promotion of the spirit of multiculturalism; the reinforcement of mobility within Europe and the diffusion of knowledge and best practices through programmes aiming at the promotion of transnational visits and exchanges for guidance counsellors.
