Tony and Lily Gauci, officials of the Christian Family Group (GRUFAN) of the Cana movement, have received the international Cardinal Cardijn award in recognition of their work in connection with families in Malta and Europe.

The award was presented to them at the ninth world assembly of the International Confederation for the Christian Family Movement (ICCFM) of which the Cana movement is a member. The event took place in San José, California.

The theme of the assembly was The Family - Artisans Of An Evolving Society. There were two principal presentations: The Development Of The History Of The Theology Of Marriage Throughout The Centuries and Marriage According To The Gospel.
