Tunisian scouts hold international camp in Malta

Sixteen male adult rover scouts from the Mongi Bali Rover Crew of the Hassen Ennouri Scout Group from Bizerte, in Tunisia have just returned home after visiting Malta for the second time in the last three years, spending 12 days here as part of their international camp.

Camped at the Paola Scout Group Headquarters, the group took the opportunity to visit various places of tourist and historical interest. They also visited the Qrendi, Sta Venera and Attard scout groups at their summer camps.

A visit to Gozo was also included in the Tunisian scouts' itinerary. In fact, they had the opportunity to appreciate a truly "Gozo experience" as provided by the scout leaders of the Victoria Scout Group.

Cub Scout Commissioner Leslie Bonnici, Assistant District Commissioner (South) Martin Bonnici and the Commissioner for Resources and Support, David Schembri, visited the Tunisian rovers during their stay here.

Having visited Malta on numerous occasions as part of their international scouting, the Hassen Ennouri Group Scout Leader, Mezri Sekma, thanked the scouts and people of Paola and Qrendi for making his group so welcome within their communities. He also thanked the Scout Association of Malta and its members for all the assistance provided to the Tunisian group throughout its visit to Malta.

The Hassen Ennouri Scout Group extended an open invitation to all those scout groups wishing to visit Tunisia as part of their international scouting.
