Citadel bonus to policyholders

Citadel Insurance plc is announcing a bonus declaration of 5% to all its policyholders as at December 31, 2003, on the PERLA Protection Plan policies. This bonus declaration exceeds the minimum guaranteed bonus rate of 4.5% per annum offered under the Protection Plan policy.

Despite the volatility of the international investment market and low interest rates experienced during the past years, Citadel managed to maintain a consistent attractive bonus declaration since the launch of the Protection Plan in 1998. Furthermore, Citadel's prudent investment strategy has enabled the company to declare superior bonus rates which are well above the competitors' bonus declarations and the plan's guaranteed bonus rate of 4.5%.
