Some inexperienced bright spark in the Roads Division has decided to block the main road linking Naxxar to Gharghur without thinking the project through, a clear case of lateral thinking using two brain cells.

This has infuriated motorists passing through as well as locals who have to take a long detour via the busy San Gwann Road, with the result that frustrating tailbacks form during busy hours.

The roadblock is seen by all as illogical, inconvenient and hazardous. It should therefore be removed, the road reopened and a simple roundabout constructed instead.
