A 21-year-old passenger in a car was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Valletta Road, Rabat, yesterday morning.

The police said that the injured person, who is from Mtarfa, was riding in a Hyundai Accent driven by an 18-year-old from Birkirkara which was involved in a crash with an Isuzu truck driven by a 33-year-old man from Nadur.

The latter was not injured.

The Isuzu, which was carrying animal feed, overturned on impact and was extensively damaged.

Both vehicles were travelling in the same direction at the time of the accident.
