I refer to the letter Exemplary Bus Driver (August 12) and I too would like to praise the driver on route 62 in Paceville who on a Friday night, was polite to some foreigners when they asked for directions and took them to their destination - against the normal bus fare I presume.

But then again, isn't that what should happen all of the time with all passengers, be they local or foreign?

We have got to the pitiful stage in this country that someone feels they have to write to the daily newspaper with the largest distribution to praise a bus driver for doing what all bus drivers should be doing in the course of their work.
