This year's San Michel Junior Open, organised by the Vittoriosa Lawn Tennis Club, came to a close recently. The tournament is a national ranking event and held under the auspices of the Malta Tennis Federation.

In the boys' singles category, Bradley Callus beat Clayton Zammit to win the U-16 category. Alan Calleja took the honours in the U-14 competition after he had the better of Zammit. Malcolm Ferrante was the winner in the U-10 division. The girls' U-14 title went to Kristie Tonna who defeated Bettina Mangion.

Joe Carabott's C Team clinched the San Michel teams' tournament after beating Team F, captained by Reno Bezzina, following a tiebreak.
