Congratulations to Swieqi local council for the notice recently placed just outside the bridge in Triq is-Swieqi warning motorists to give way to pedestrians.

May I suggest, however, that another notice be put up warning pedestrians that they should walk in single file under the bridge. The driver is not always the culprit in an accident!

Better still, why not have a narrow pedestrian passageway built by the bridge, which I am told on professional advice, is technically feasible?

The recent repairs to the road subsidence at the same spot have proved inadequate. The same patch of road has subsided again and is causing damage to our cars.

Can one expect a repair job urgently and properly done?
