No injuries in house fire

Firemen from the Civil Protection Department were called to extinguish a fire which broke out in a residence in Hilda Tabone Street, Vittoriosa on Wednesday afternoon.

The tenant, a woman who lives on her own, had to move to the house of a relative because of the damage caused by the fire, the police said. She was not at home at the time of the fire.

The alarm was raised after someone reported seeing smoke coming out of the residence.

No one was injured.
