Who has received the Sakharov Prize in 2003?

The Sakharov Prize for freedom of thought was presented in 2003 to the Secretary-General, Kofi Anan and all the staff of the United Nations Organisation. The Sakharov Prize is an initiative of the European Parliament. The 2003 prize was given to the UN in memory of Viella de Mello and other officials who were killed while working for the United Nations.
