A Libyan man was seriously injured in a fight in St Julians early yesterday morning.

The police said they were informed that the man was injured by a pointed instrument during a fight in Ross Street, St Julians.

The man underwent surgical intervention soon after he was admitted to St Luke's Hospital and his condition improved.

The police said yesterday the man's condition was now stable.

Magistrate Michael Mallia appointed a team of court experts to help him conduct an inquiry into the stabbing.
