Magistrate Abigail Lofaro yesterday placed a 30-year-old man from Senglea on probation after he admitted to corrupting a girl, 16.

The man was placed on probation for a two-year period after the court took into consideration the findings of a pre-sentencing report prepared by a probation officer on the accused. The report concluded that the accused was trying to reconcile with his estranged wife and that he was an immature person.

The court ordered a ban on the name of the victim.
