Ambassadors drawing up foreign policy strategy

Malta's foreign policy came under close scrutiny yesterday during a meeting for Maltese ambassadors resident abroad.

The meeting, attended by Foreign Minister Michael Frendo, will continue today and is meant to come up with a strategy of Malta's foreign policy in the face of the new political realities the country is facing.

During yesterday's session emphasis was placed on the ambassadors' role to establish contacts that would lead to an increase in tourist arrivals and that could attract foreign direct investment.
