Like many others before her, Marlene Mizzi is right about the Valletta horses waiting in the scorching sun in Palace Square (July l2). But why limit our pity this far?

Is it not more cruel to witness these horses dragging their cabs loaded with six persons in this summer heat along the ups and downs of our capital?

If we really care why not call for a stop to this cruelty by banning all horses from our streets, especially in summer? This will also help the traffic flow in our streets.
