FlexiFly, a new concept of airline pricing, has just been introduced by Air Malta. The pricing encompasses the company's network of scheduled services.

It will come on line on November 1, 2004, based on the concept of one-way fares with the possibility for the passenger of having access to a different price level in each direction, depending in which class a booking is made.

Booking for flights for November 1 onwards can now be made.

FlexiFly allows combinations on different routes without the passenger having to pay higher fares, as has been the norm in the past. The new fares will be available in both economy and club class cabins. The lowest one-way fare from Malta is Lm17 to Catania, Palermo and Tunis. London Heathrow and Gatwick start at Lm35 while most of the other European routes start at Lm32. Similar fares for travel to Malta are available in local currencies in all foreign markets served by Air Malta.

All fares are exclusive of airport taxes, fees and other charges. Another innovation is that the fares will have a maximum validity of 12 months with no minimum stay restrictions.

"This is a radical departure from our traditional concept of pricing," commented Ernst Funk, Air Malta's CEO.

"We want to regain our fair share of the Malta originating business and at the same time we want to retain our leading position for travel to Malta commencing overseas".
