Joe Camilleri, precincts officer at the University of Malta, informs staff and students that as from tomorrow, there will be traffic diversions in force on the University Campus. This is due to sewage trenching works for the Mater Dei Hospital on the University Ring Road.
Consequently, there will be two-way traffic on the ring road and so no parking will be permitted. The old University entrance and exit (near the chapel) and the entrance and exit from the sports complex at Gzira will function normally.
Vehicles normally entering from the new University entrance (Mater Dei) will immediately be diverted into car park 6 as they reach the roundabout. Car park 6 will have its only entrance and exit from a new access next to the roundabout of the new University entrance.
To help reduce traffic coming into the University, staff is advised to use car park 6 and walk to their respective blocks. Otherwise, all other car parks can be accessed from the old entrance and exit or the gate at the sports area. The precincts office would like to thank everybody in advance for co-operation and regrets any inconvenience caused.
