Get qualified!

With the Centre for Labour Market Studies (CLMS) of the University of Leicester, you will embark on academic programmes in human resource management and development of the highest quality. All programmes are internationally recognised, accepted by governments throughout the world and accredited in the United States by the Distance Education and Training Council.

They are fed by the latest worldwide research. In fact, CLMS courses are designed with and for training of HRM professionals to provide the knowledge base for the profession.

The course material is written by the same experts who advise international organisations such as the International Labour Organisation, the International Federation of Training and Development Organisations, national governments in the UK, Thailand and Japan, and professional organisations, such as the UK Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

The courses will take you on a journey of personal development, from an exploration of individual learning at the workplace, to the impact of globalisation on national human resource development practices. You will also have the opportunity to network with fellow professionals across the globe.

CLMS programmes are the result of 13 years of intensive research and development, and a philosophy of continuous improvement. Moreover, the distance learning format gives you the opportunity to take control of where and when you study, and to continue your career while you get your qualification.

CLMS and FHRD, as their local agent, will ensure that you are provided with the highest level of support services, including an online library service, periodical support meetings and bi-annual teaching visits by CLMS academics.

The next intake for all programmes - Certificate, Diploma, Masters and Doctorate - is due to commence on September 27 and applications must be submitted by the end of next month.

If you wish to get more first hand information on the courses on offer, contact Daniela Gouder at the FHRD on 2137-8895 or send her an e-mail at dgouder@fhrd.org.
