A group of Maltese entrepreneurs visited Tunisia to attend the sixth edition of the Carthage Investment Forum, organised by the Ministry of Development and International Co-operation and the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency.

This trade visit last month, was co-ordinated by Bank of Valletta in conjunction with the Tunisian Embassy. The Maltese participants were led by Julian Holland, manager Business Development at Bank of Valletta, assisted by Robert Darmanin, manager Bank of Valletta, Tunis representative office.

The three day forum was attended by participants from around 25 countries who were addressed on a number of aspects of the Tunisian economy, the investment environment and opportunities in Tunisia.

A number of workshops covering various sectors were led by senior officials from the Tunisian administration. One to one meetings between Tunisian and foreign companies were organised to exchange views and ideas on various business opportunities.

The Maltese participants were extremely satisfied with the new business links that the Bank of Valletta Business Development Department as well as the representative office in Tunisia facilitated both with Tunisian businessmen and with other foreign individuals that were present during this forum.
