The Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise, in collaboration with Bank of Valletta (BoV), is launching a new membership card for all affiliated members of the Chamber.
The launch of the new membership card is a joint initiative between the Chamber and BoV following a support agreement they signed in March last year.
As a result of this new initiative, two options are being made available to the Chamber's members. The first is an exclusive BoV cashlink card for Chamber members only. The second consists of a straightforward membership card that may be used for introduction and accreditation purposes. No additional charges will be incurred when applying for these cards.
An additional benefit to the Chamber's members, is that BoV is waiving the card fee on the BoV Flypass Business Card for the first year. This card offers members a variety of advantages including free travel and purchase protection insurance, parking benefits and Business Class upgrade.
Commenting on the launch of these new incentives, BoV chairman, Joseph F.X. Zahra said: "This is yet another initiative that shows the bank's commitment to play an active role within the Chamber of which it is a proud member. Indeed, Bank of Valletta shares the same role of the Chamber, that of supporting and promoting a healthy business environment.
"As a major player within Malta's economy, this is an opportunity for Bank of Valletta to support businesses and entrepreneurs throughout their ventures in view of creating a healthier and more active economy."
Chamber president Louis Apap Bologna said: "Following the support agreement signed between the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise and Bank of Valletta in March 2003, we have lowered our annual subscription. The reduction in fees continues to increase the value of Chamber membership and to make membership more accessible to smaller businesses."
Chamber members wishing to start benefiting from the new membership cards can contact Johanna Calleja at the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise for more information.
