Roman-born violin virtuoso Marcello Canci accompanied by concert pianist Michelangelo Carbonara will tonight present a stimulating concert of works by Bach, Schubert and Saint-Saens as the Victoria Arts Festival enters its final days.

The festival, which has been running for a month, has been a music extravaganza, presenting a varied programme of concerts featuring soloists, choral groups, chamber ensembles, masterclasses and lectures to highly cultured and appreciative audiences in the heart of Victoria.

Tomorrow night, baritone Joe Huber will present a Lieder recital. Mr Huber specialises in this genre and is a highly acclaimed interpreter of the German romantic Lieder. He will be accompanied by Sharon Gauci, an accomplished pianist.

The concerts are held in the Aula Mgr Giuseppe Farrugia, St George's Basilica and start at 8 p.m.

Entrance is free.
