A Royal Air Force helicopter crashed at Basra airport in southern Iraq yesterday and one of the crew members was killed, Britain's Defence Ministry said.

Two others were injured in the crash. A ministry spokesman said an investigation into the circumstances is ongoing. "It is not believed to be a result of enemy action."
