A Kirkop man was yesterday charged with stealing three washing machines last week.

Noel Abela, 35, pleaded not guilty to stealing the appliances from Mizzi Company Limited on July 6, handling stolen property and relapsing. He was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm300.

Inspector Carmelo Bartolo prosecuted.

Dr Lynn Zahra appeared for Abela.
