A parade starting from St George's Square, in Valletta at 10 this morning will mark the end of Police Week activities in Malta, and a parade in Marsalforn tomorrow formally brings Police Week to an end.

The guard of honour, the precision drill team, the police band and the mounted police will take part in this morning's parade.

A pontifical Mass will also be celebrated at the police headquarters, in Floriana.

An open day scheduled to be held yesterday at the police headquarters had to be called off because works were not completed in time, the police said.

Construction and other works have been carried out in one of the wings at the headquarters recently to house new offices and there was still some clearing to be made, a police spokesman said.
