¤ The feast of feast of Our Lady Succour is being celebrated in Kercem today.
Bishop Nikol Cauchi will lead a Pontifical concelebrated Mass at 9 a.m. and Mgr Gregory Grech will deliver the panegyric. The St Margaret Band will play marches in the village streets at 11.15.
Solemn vespers will be led by the parish priest Fr Francis Debrincat at 7 p.m.
The procession with the two titular statues of Our Lady of Succour and St Gregory the Great, which will mark the 1,400th anniversary of the death of St Gregory, the 100th anniversary since the statue was brought to the parish church and the 150th anniversary of the titular painting, will leave the church at 7.45.
The procession will end with the antiphon Beata me dicent, composed by Orlando Crescimanno, and sacramental benediction at 10.15.
¤ The Dog of the Year show, sponsored by Royal Canin, for SPCA rescued dogs and non-pedigree pets, is being held at the Victoria football ground, today. Judging starts at 8.30 a.m.

¤ The Ghaqda Dilettanti tan-Nar u l-Armar is organising a dinner to raise funds for the feast of Our Lady of Victories, at the Xaghra Youth Centre on Friday 8.30 p.m. Tickets at Lm3.50 and (Lm2.25 for children) may be obtained from the centre.

The newly-ordained priest Fr Geoffrey G. Attard, accompanied by the collegiate chapter and clergy, will lead a concelebrated Mass, at St George's Basilica, today at 10 a.m. The Laudate Pueri Choir will take part.
Scott Farrell, an English organist, will give a recital at the basilica at 8 p.m.
A Baroque musical concert, with the participation of soloists, the Laudate Pueri Choir, the Newcastle Cathedral Choir and the Festival Baroque ensemble, is being held at the basilica tomorrow at 8 p.m. The concert will be presided over by Tourism Minister Dr Francis Zammit Dimech and British High Commissioner Vincent Fean.
Bishop Cauchi will inaugurate the new bronze door of St George's Basilica, commemorating the Great Jubilee of the Incarnation and the 17th centenary of the martyrdom of St George, during an evening of prayer and adoration on St George's Square and at the basilica at 9. The Laudate Pueri Choir will take part.
Archpriest Emeritus Mgr Salv Borg leads a concelebrated Mass with the Te Deum on Saturday at 9 a.m. This will be followed by marches by the La Stella Band at 10 and traditional horse and donkey races in Republic Street at 1 p.m.
Bishop Cauchi, accompanied by the Cathedral Chapter and clergy, will lead the translation of the relic and vespers and they will be followed by a solemn concelebrated Mass, led by the Vicar General Mgr J.B. Gauci at 6.30.
Marches will be played by the La Stella and King's Own bands in Republic Street at 10.
