The annual National Cinema Day - a popular activity among cinema-goers - is being held tomorrow with all films showing for just Lm1.30.

The popularity of the event is continually growing and, this year, cinemas expect the latest blockbuster movies to be a major attraction for the thousands who flock to the cinema to make the most of the reduced price. It is a chance for people to pack into one day as many of the latest films as they can.

Films include Troy, The Day after Tomorrow, Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban and the latest record-breaking animated movie Shrek 2, which is only being released tomorrow.

Apart from the reduced ticket price, the Embassy Cinemas in Valletta are offering patrons watching any film on Cinema Day a voucher for free entry to the newly refurbished Mediterraneo Dolphin Park with every entry purchased. The ticket for Mediterraneo includes a parrot show, a sea lion show and a spectacular dolphin show, among other activities.

The Embassy Cinema is also offering a free Panini - Shrek 2 sticker album to children watching Shrek 2 on presentation of a Nesquick inner seal, while a free gift is being given on every purchase of a large Pepsi, or 7UP from the cinema bar.

The Embassy is also giving away Lm1,000 worth of Splash & Fun free entries to be won by Cinema Day patrons.
