Two agreements between Gozitan and Italian associations were signed during the third edition of the Gozo Trade Fair.
The first agreement is a protocol between the Ministry for Gozo, the Gharb council, the Gozo Business Chamber, the Gozo Tourism Association and UHS Ltd and the Comunità Montana dell'Aniene, Agenzia Sviluppo Provincia di Roma and Colline Romane SpA.
The protocol aims to create development projects for Gozo.
The second agreement, signed by the Comunità Montana dell'Aniene, the Gozo Business Chamber and the Gharb council, provides for the reciprocal participation in a trade fair held in the respective country or region.
The Gozo Trade Fair, organised by the Gozo Business Chamber and with Vodafone as one of the main sponsors, has now become an established event in the Gozo calendar and is held during the weekend nearest to June 7.
The fair, which was officially inaugurated by Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono, was visited by a record number of Gozitans, Maltese, foreign residents and tourists. Among those who visited the fair were Pat Cox, President of the European Parliament, Anton Tabone, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and Deputy Prime Minister Tonio Borg.
