I refer to Vincent A. Galea's letter (June 22).
May I inform Mr Galea that a "Notice of contravention" is issued by the local warden and the summons for the tribunal sitting by the prosecutor.
In no way could the Tarxien local council's staff tell where someone has been passing, at what date and time, in which street and what were the faults of a particular car. This is absurd... unless Mr Galea presented the contravention ticket issued by the local warden where such details are printed!
The local council receives only payments for contraventions and is not responsible for any details issued through the local enforcement system.
