Dairy firm in Lm2m upgrade

Malta Dairy Products is investing Lm2 million in modern equipment and technology to ensure fresh milk distribution every day.

Speaking during the annual general meeting for milk producers, the Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture and Fisheries, Francis Agius, said that flocks were being monitored with the aim of reducing the herdsman's costs and improving the quality of milk.

The results were already being seen, he said. The quality of fresh milk had improved and become more competitive, to the benefit of both the consumer and the herdsman.
