On the occasion of the National Council of Women's 40th anniversary, the Council is proud to announce that with the kind collaboration of Heritage Malta and the Malta Council for Culture and Arts an art exhibition entitled "The Hidden Potential" will be held in September.

This exhibition aims to give a chance to artists, who have not held a solo exhibition, to exhibit and sell their work. A donation to NCW would be appreciated on sold works of art.

Paintings must not be bigger than 60 cm x 90 cm, while sculptures must not be higher than 40 cm and bigger than 30 cm x 30 cm. Anyone interested is urged to send photos of a maximum of three works of art to the NCW centre, Pope Pius XII Flats, Mountabatten Street, Blata l-Bajda HMR 02 or e-mail ncwmalta@camline.net.mt.

A selection board, whose judgment will be final and incontestable will choose the best work among all submissions not choosing more than one work per artist. The closing date for the submission of photos is Wednesday.

There will be a visit to the Skorba and Hagrat archaeological temples followed by dinner at the Panorama Hotel, Mellieha, on Friday. Tickets cost Lm6, which includes transport from various pick-up points, a guided tour of the temples and dinner. Transport leaves at 5.15 p.m. for the temple tour, followed by dinner at 8.30. Return transport leaves Mellieha at 10.30. For more information call 2124-8881 or fax 2124-6982.
