A Somali man was yesterday charged with slightly injuring a fellow countryman when he pushed him onto a stationary car while drunk.

Abdi Rahman, 26, pleaded not guilty to injuring Ga-al Abdurhahman Hassan, pushing him and damaging the car to the detriment of its owner Joseph Agius in Balzan on Tuesday.

He also pleaded not guilty to assaulting PC Christopher Falzon and disobeying the police.

He was remanded in custody.

Inspector Kevin Farrugia prosecuted.
