A Moldovian girl won the second edition of the World Bikini Model International just held by Catwalk Productions International.

Julia Sharshakova was crowned Miss Bikini Queen 2004.

Maryna Gorobets from the Ukraine was first runner up; Dagmara Romankiewicz from Poland was second runner up and Janina Mantyniemi from Finland was third runner up.

The 42 contestants were taken around to view the main tourist and cultural attractions of Malta and Gozo and also had the opportunity of enjoying the Maltese sun and sea, as well as entertainment at some of Malta's leading clubs.

The final night, presented by DJ Gianni, kicked off with the appearance of all 42 contestants in their national costume. The dynamic choreography by Sandra Mallia set the mood for a wonderful and entertaining evening. The programme also included various fashion shows by the contestants wearing outfits provided by Naf Naf and Grand Prix Inc. of Baystreet Complex, swimwear by the official bikini sponsor Funclub of Spain with local agents Hidden Assets of Fgura. Costume Jewellery was provided by Streetcraft of Baystreet Complex. Ipanema/Grendha sandal brands to accompany the bikinis were provided by Dorvin Ltd.

The climax of the whole evening was a fashion show - The Kyoto Collection inspired by Japanese History - by the renowned Romanian top fashion designer Catalin Botesatu who was brought over to Malta especially.
