The 2004 Ferrari Vodafone event will be held on Sunday. Sponsored by Vodafone and UCIM, this motoring spectacle will provide thousands of Maltese car enthusiasts with an opportunity to see a number of Ferrari cars being driven from the Hilton Hotel to Badger Karting race track in Ta' Qali.
Ferraris will be on show at the Hilton from 8.30 to 9.30 a.m. The cars will then be driven to the south of the island and will arrive at Ta' Qali at 11 a.m. where they will be on show all afternoon.
A special package is exclusively available to Ferrari Club members as well as to Ferrari fans who wish to become members on the day.
The package includes a free ticket for racing in a timed karting competition (limited to the first 50 paid up members only). A numbered and limited edition Diorama Model worth Lm75 will be presented to the winner.
A barbecue lunch will be held for members, their guests and families.
Vodafone and UCIM will also be at Badger Karting race track presenting special offers and free gifts. A special hospitality trailer by Shell Motor Sport will welcome all members with a complimentary drink and shall double up as another new Ferrari meeting point.
"Ferrari fans are invited to register for this event today while watching the Grand Prix Race at the Ferrari Club premises in Meridian House, G.F. De Soldanis Street, St Venera (above the Hyundai showroom in Valley Road - entrance from Psaila Street).
"One may also register at the Shell Motor Sport Hospitality trailer on Sunday at Badger Karting from 9.30 a.m. onwards. On Sunday, the package will be subject to availability on a first come first serve basis," Ray Vella, president of Ferrari Club Malta, said.
There are currently more than 40 Ferrari cars in Malta, which makes us a country with one of the highest number of Ferraris per capita.
"Ferrari Vodafone events are becoming popular among the many Ferrari fans who look forward to admire such beauties as 360 Modena F1s and Spiders, Maranellos, Testarossas, Mondials, 400i, 355 F1s and Spiders, 348s, 328s, 308s and 208s.
