A collective Gozitan art exhibition, featuring the works of 31 artists is being held at the Banca Giuratale, on Independence Square, Victoria, on the occasion of Malta's accession to the European Union and the European Parliament elections.

The highlight of the exhibition, which opened on May 6, was the visit of the outgoing president of the European Parliament, Pat Cox, who was presented with Gaia's Domain, a painting by young artist Vince Caruana, which was chosen from among the exhibits. Mr Cox appreciated the gift and praised the artist for his work.

Mr Caruana already has two major personal exhibitions under his belt and is currently preparing for his third exhibition in autumn. He is currently teaching at the Gozo Centre of Arts and Crafts.

The exhibition will remain open till Saturday.
