No one was injured when an employee of the Hotel Mercurio, in Qawra accidentally spilled chlorine in the plant room causing the dispersion of toxic fumes yesterday morning.

The employee was working near the hotel's pool when the accident happened. The quick-thinking hotel staff immediately evacuated employees and residents while members of the Civil Protection Department brought the situation under control.
