Two Libyan men yesterday appeared before Magistrate Anthony Vella on charges of drug trafficking.

The accused, Masoud Albuiweiser, 35, and Saad Eabaied, 36, were charged with association in drug importation and trafficking.

Police Inspector Nezren Grixti told the Court that 350 grammes of cannabis had been found in Eabaied's shoes when the two accused entered Malta on a flight from Tripoli, Libya.

Bail was denied.

Dr Beppe Fenech Adami and Dr Frank Cassar were counsel to the accused.
