Meusac meets again

Foreign Minister John Dalli yesterday hosted the first meeting of the Malta-EU Steering Action Committee (Meusac) since Malta joined the European Union.

Speaking to the committee members at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, in Valletta, Mr Dalli heaped praise on the work of Meusac in the run-up to membership, saying it had analysed all the required legislation in detail to ensure a smooth transition.

Now that Malta was an EU member, it was equally important for the committee to remain abreast of all the developments taking place within the EU, the minister said.
